It is with great sadness that the family of the late Rendell John Robert Pittman announce his passing at the Bonne Bay Health Center in Norris Point, NL on Wednesday, December 23rd, 2009, at the age of 78 years. Leaving to mourn with fond and loving memories: his devoted wife of 58 years, Vera Ellen (nee Bennett); his children: Rex (Marg), Bernard (Elaine), Ernest (Beverly), Glenn (Marina), Bernice, Leona, Lorrie (Melvin); his grandchildren: Damien, Darren, Devin, Stephanie, Aaron, Sheldon and Kyran; great-grandchildren: Stephen, Alyssa, Kaylie, Cade and Emily; his brothers: Clifford (Jane) and Jerry; his sisters: Olive (Ronald) and Colleen; brothers-in-law: Leonard and Dave; his sister-in-law, Stella. Rendell was predeceased by his parents, John (Jack) and Mary Pittman; sisters: Evelyn, Dorothy, Emmaline, Viola, and Beverly Ann; his brothers: Percy and Henry. Also leaving to mourn a large circle of relatives and friends. The family will be receiving family and friends from the Anglican Church in St. Paul\'s, Thursday, December 24th 2009 and Friday, December 25th, 2009, from where also the funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 26th, 2009 at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Jean Brenton–Hickman officiating. Burial to follow at the church cemetery in St. Paul\'s.
