Passed peacefully away at his residence in Brigus on Tuesday, May 22, 2012, after a courageous battle with cancer, Kenneth Joseph Skanes, aged 52 years. Predeceased by his parents, John and Theresa (Devereaux) Skanes. Leaving to mourn wife, Beverly; sons: Joshua and Jordan; brother Johnny (Ann-Marie); niece Emily and a large circle of other relatives and friends, including especially his co-workers at Keltic Steelworks. Resting at Broughton’s Funeral Home, Brigus with visitation on Wednesday from 12 p.m.- 9 p.m., Thursday from 10 a.m.- 9 p.m., Friday from
10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Funeral to take place on Friday, May 25, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. from St. Patrick's Church, Brigus with interment to follow in the U.C. Cemetery, Brigus.
