CORMIER, CLAIRA - 1926 - 2012 - Claira Cormier, 86, of Renauds Mill, NB passed away at home on Wednesday May 23, 2012 after a lengthy illness. She was the spouse of the late Leandre Cormier. Born in Sainte-Marie de Kent, on March 14th, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Maxime and the late Amanda (Cormier) LeBlanc. She will be sadly missed by her daughters: Lucille Leger (Jean-Marie) of Leominster, Mass, Dianne McDonald (Gilles), Stella Maillet (Robert) both of Bouctouche and Simonne Saulnier (Ronald) of Saint-Antoine, her sons: Oscar (Aldéa), René (Norma), Léo(Jeanita), Rhéal (Diane), Gérard (Carmella), all of Saint-Antoine, Paul with whom she resided, Alcide (Rina) of Bouctouche, her twenty five grandchildren, her twenty five great grandchildren, her sisters: Diane Richard and Rose Goguen of Saint-Antoine, her step-sisters: Marie LeBlanc (Alvin) of Moncton, Aline LeBlanc (Donat) of Saint-Antoine, Annette Belliveau (Rhéal) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, her step-brother Léo LeBlanc (Edith) of Leominster, Mass and several nieces and nephews. Claira was predeceased by a grandson Junior Richard, a daughter Rita, a brother Ovila, her step-mother Collette Girouard, a step-sister Huberte and a step-brother Aldérice.
Visitations will be at the Saint-Antoine l’ Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room on Sunday, May 27, 2012 from 2 to 4 and from 7 to 9pm and on Monday from 9:30 to 10:45. Funeral Mass will be in the Saint-Antoine Church on Monday, May 28, 2012 at 11:00am, with interment in the parish cemetery. In Claira’s memory donations to the Heart and Stroke Foundation would be appreciated.
