COTTREAU, Charles Michael – 77, Wedgeport, Yarmouth Co., passed away on Friday, May 25, 2012 in Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Born October 19, 1934 in Wedgeport, he was a son of the late John and Lucie (LeBlanc) Cottreau. Charles worked as a lobster and scallop fisherman, and in his spare time he enjoyed woodworking. Surviving are his children, Mike Cottreau (Melina Boudreau) and Roger Cottreau (Vernessa Nightingale), both of Yarmouth; grandchildren, Tara, Stephen, Sophie; great grandchildren, Austin, Spencer and Miguel. Also surviving is a brother, Clifford (Betty) Cottreau, Wedgeport; sisters, Madeline Hubbard, Estelle Boudreau, both of Yarmouth; Annie Cottreau, Wedgeport. Aside from his parents, he was predeceased by his wife, Agnes C. (Fitzgerald) Cottreau; brothers, Leo, Arthur and Lawrence Cottreau. In keeping with Charles’ wishes, there was no visitation. A funeral mass was held at 11 a.m., Monday, May 28 from Saint Michael’s Catholic Church, Wedgeport, Msgr. Gerald LeBlanc officiated. Interment followed in the parish cemetery. It was requested that there be family flowers only. Memorial donations may be made to the Gilles Boudreau and Friends Cancer Help Fund. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to H. M.
