Acquilla LeBlanc

LeBLANC, ACQUILLA - Acquilla LeBlanc, 83, of Cap-Pelé and formerly of St-André-LeBlanc, passed away on Monday May 28, 2012 at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton. Born July 23, 1928 in LeBlanc Office, he was the son of the late William and Marie (Bourque) LeBlanc. Before his retirement, Acquilla was an employee with E.P. Melanson and Paturel Sea Food. Acquila was very active in his community he was a Director with of the Centre St-André-LeBlanc Community Center, was the past president of the Cap-Pelé Golden Age Club and had served on the Ste-Thérèse d’Avila R.C. Church Council. He is survived by his loving wife, Delphine (LeBlanc); one daughter: Lise Cormier (Gilles) of St-André-LeBlanc; two grandchildren: Jenny Melanson, Riley Cormier and by several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters: Yvonne, Mathilde, Rita; two brothers: Alphonse and Edgar.
The family will receive condolences at Frenette Funeral Home, 2642 Acadie Street, Cap-Pelé (577-3297) Wednesday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., on Thursday 9:30 a.m. until time of departure 10:15. The funeral mass will be celebrated at Ste. Thérèse d’Avila R.C. Church, Cap-Pelé, on Thursday, June 1, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. In memory of Acquilla, a contribution to the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont Hospital Foundation, (Palliative care or the Tree of Hope) or to the Ste-Thérèse d’Avila R.C. Cemetery Fund, Cap-Pelé would be appreciated.
