ASTLES, FLORENCE EARL - The death of Florence Earl Astles wife of the late William Hector Astles of Saint John, NB occurred at the Loch Lomond Villa Nursing Home on Friday, June 1, 2012, just one month short of her 102nd birthday. She was the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Harrison. Florence was employed at the East Saint John Hardware for many years and was a long-time member of All Saints Anglican Church. She is survived by her daughter Lorraine Golding (John), stepdaughter Wanda Gallant, grandchildren Lynda Chan (Tony), Tracy Stevens (Michael), Bruce Golding (Anna Marie); step grandchildren Daniel (Elizabeth), Stephen (Connie), Wayne (Dorothy) Gallant, as well as ten great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren; a loving and devoted niece Marylou Harrison and nephews Beverley and Larry Harrison and Wayne, Paul and Barry Farnsworth. Florence was predeceased by her brothers William and Walter Harrison and her half-sister Isobel Farnsworth.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John (646-2424) with visiting on Sunday, June 3rd from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. A celebration of Florence’s life will take place from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 4th at 1:00 p.m. Interment will take place in Ocean View Memorial Gardens. www.fundyfuneralhome.com
