It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Lena Ursula Gosselin (nee Kapyrka) who passed away on May 31, 2012.

She is survived by her loving husband Roland Gosselin, daughters Jacqueline (Kevin) Smith of Medicine Hat, AB, Tanya (Jeff) Miniely of Kamloops, BC; mother Olga Kapyrka, brother Peter (Cheryl) Kapyrka of Amherst, NS, sister Irma Burgess and Irma’s husband Andre Mallette of Moose Jaw, SK, brother-in-laws Richard (Jacqueline) Scarcella of Ottawa, Rosaire Gosselin of Duclos Quebec, Rene (Wendy) Gosselin of New York and her beloved grandchildren Kayla, Jessica, Liam and Ainsley.

She was predeceased by her father Leo Kapyrka.

Lena was born April 15, 1946 in Kreitzheilm Germany. She spent over 30 years living and working in the North West Territories for the government. Lena’s passion for her friends and neighbors produced many great meals that she would create with love. Her other top priorities where spending hours visiting with long time friends, boating and fishing on the Great Slave Lake. She eventually retired to Kamloops where the weather would prove to be more pleasant, from where she would leave on many tropical vacations to enjoy with her husband and many friends. For Lena nothing touched her life more than her four precious grandchildren and the time that she spent with them.
