Daniel Angus MacDonald aged 90 years of Springhill, passed away on Sunday, June 3, 2012 in High Crest Nursing Home, Springhill. Born in Springhill, he was a son of the Late John R. and Christine (MacNeil) MacDonald.
His early working years were spent with the Dominion Coal Co., then with All Saints Hospital, Springhill, as a Stationery Engineer for 25 years. He was an Honorary member of the Knights of Columbus; was an avid hunter who enjoyed the woods, camping, spending his summers at his cottage at Mitchell's Beach with his family and friends.
He is survived only by several nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by his wife Gladys in 2001; brothers, Roderick, John Willie, Edward and Leo; sisters, Tina, Florence, Mary Ellen, Margie and an infant sister Annie.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to A. H. Brown Funeral Home, 5 McFarlane Street, Springhill, (902 597 2361), where visitation will be held 2 - 4 & 7 - 9 on Wednesday, June 6, 2012. Funeral Mass will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, June 7, 2012 from St. John the Baptist Roman Catholic Church, Springhill, with Father Vernon Driscoll officiating. Burial in North Street Roman Catholic Cemetery, Springhill.
