Kenneth Douglas Fisher

FISHER, Kenneth Douglas – 67, Coldstream, passed away suddenly at home on June 2, 2012. Born in Kennetcook, he was a son of the late Alexander and Ida (Allison) Fisher. Ken worked on farms and in the woods since he was 13. For the last fourteen years he was a seasonal employee of Ledwidge Lumber. Ken loved his family. He enjoyed car shows, going for drives, hunting, fishing, camping and campfires. He took pride in our home and yard. Ken was a true loyal friend. During the winter he liked to play 45’s and watching a good movie. He is survived by his wife Brenda Lee (Cahill), daughters Phyllis (Darren), Upper Stewiacke; Kathy (Scott), Stewiacke; sons Robie (Carmen), Kirkland Lake, ON; Michael (Muriel), South Branch; Steve (Melissa), Truro; Adam (Wendy), Salmon River; Kenny, Truro; Matthew (Fallon), Stewiacke; and Edward at home; grandchildren Amanda (Tim), Becky, Ethan, Aiden, Brandon, Ashley, Robie, Casey, Nathan, Joey and Kali; sisters Jean (Truman) Shaw, Sheet Harbour; Vera Scullion, Stewiacke; Ruth (Lou) Wambolt, Brookfield; Linda Fisher, Truro; Marlene (Pat) Flynn, Stewiacke; Wanda Fisher (Steve), Truro; brothers Robie (Lavinia), North River; Lorne (Brenda) Stewiacke; numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be 1-3 & 7-9pm today in Ettinger Funeral Home, 2812 Highway 2, Shubenacadie. Cremation will then take place, followed by a funeral service at 1pm on ThursdayJune 7, 2012 at Ettinger Funeral Home, Tammy Giffen officiating. Reception to follow at Ken and Brenda’s home. No flowers please, instead a plant for Ken’s garden if you wish.
