MERRICK, Kathleen (Kay) Margaret August 6, 1910 - February 2, 2008 It is with great sadness that we share the passing of our wonderful mother, grandmother, and friend. Kathleen was born in Wilkie, Sask. and raised in Sullivan Station, Surrey, B.C. Kathleen was predeceased by her parents, Margaret & William (Bill) Turnbull, husbands, Harry Gardiner & Roy Merrick, son, Bryon Gardiner, brothers Bob & Don Turnbull. She will be dearly missed by her children, Bruce (Anne) Gardiner of Scotch Creek, B.C., Diane McCarthy of Kamloops, B.C., Bud McCarthy of Calgary, AB, her grandchildren, Lando (Jen) McCarthy, Lesley Gardiner, great grandson, Seth Fisher, daughter-in-law, Barbara Gardiner, brother-in-law, Malcolm (MaryLou) Gardiner, sister-in-law, Ilda Turnbull, nieces & nephews, Terry, Gerald, Joan (Turnbull), Sandra, Bob, Barbara (Gardiner). Kathleen owned & operated Artlite Studio and worked for many years in Kamloops. She was also very active and caring for the mentally handicapped. She had a great love of animals and flowers. The family would like to express their gratitude to the staff at Pine Grove Lodge, especially Elda, for the wonderful care she provided to our Mother. A donation in Kathleen's memory may be made to the Pine Grove Residence Society, 313 McGowan Ave., Kamloops, B.C. V2B 2N8. A celebration of Kathleen's life will be held at a later date
