COATES, MARJORIE G. - 1919 - 2012 - “Resting in the arms of Jesus” - Marjorie G. Coates, 92, of Moncton, with her loving family by her side, passed away peacefully at The Moncton Hospital on Tuesday June 5, 2012. Born in Petitcodiac, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ina (Collier) Carson. Marjorie was retired from Co-Op Atlantic and was an active member and the oldest living member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Marjorie will be dearly missed by her only daughter, Lynda and her special son-in-law, Larry Langille, with whom she resided. Lovingly missed and always remembered by her grandchildren, Rhonda Farrer (Ed), Janyce Crawford (Jon), Scott Langille (Melissa); precious great grandchildren, Jeremiah and Amelia Farrer, Jared and Alyssa Crawford; special sisters, Ruby Collier and Doris Morgan; sisters-in-law, Anne Carson and Annie Carson; several nieces, nephews and special friends. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Ronald E. Coates (March 2001); brothers, Harold, Ken and Everett Carson; and special sister-in-law Marion; sisters, Jean Little and Freda MacKenzie.
Visitation at Ferguson Knowles Funeral Home, 1657 Mountain Road, Moncton (858-1995) on Friday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. Funeral Service at Emmanuel Baptist Church, Morton Ave. & McLaughlin Drive on Saturday, June 9, 2012 at 2:00 pm, with Pastor J.D. Highfill officiating. Reception following the service in the Church Hall. Interment, Elmwood Cemetery.
