QUANG CHI TA May 5, 1931 - February 3, 2008 It is with deepest sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather on February 3, 2008 at the Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops at the age of 76. Quang is survived by his wife Lan, his five sons Goon Fook (Xi Kwan), Benny (Irene), Henry (Judy), Minh (Winnie), Quinn (Ying) and his daughter Lien (David) Burrer; thirteen grandchildren and one great grandson. He was born in Mong Cai, Quang Ning, Vietnam and lived there till 1979. Due to the war he and his whole family moved back to China. In 1989 he came to Canada and settled in Vernon, B.C. He and his wife with the two younger sons then moved to Kamloops in 1995. He had been helping a lot in the Lotus Inn Restaurant. Quang was a hardworking and loving man, being a good role model for his children. Special thanks to all the doctors and nurses in the ER and ICU at Royal Inland Hospital. A Funeral Service will be held on Monday, February 18, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel with Mrs. Elsie Cheung officiating. Interment will follow in Pleasant Street Cemetery.
