LÉGER, ELMIRE - 1931 - 2012 - Elmire Léger, 81, of Saint-Antoine passed away at the Foyer Saint-Antoine, on June 5th, 2012 after a lengthy illness. Born in Saint-Antoine on February 27, 1931 she was the daughter of the late Osias and the late Emma (Allain) Léger. Elmire was employed for 31 years with the Saint-Joseph Hospital in Saint-John, NB. She will be sadly missed by her sister Valida Cormier (Laurie) of Saint-Antoine, her four brothers: Henri (Geneva), Léo-Paul (Rose-Marie), both of Notre-Dame, Lionel (Irène) of Saint-Antoine, Roger of Saint-Anne de Kent and several nieces and nephews. Elmire was predeceased by a sister Jeannine.
Visitations will be held at the Saint-Antoine l’Ermite Roman Catholic Church Slumber Room, in Saint-Antoine on Monday, June 11th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and from 5:30 to 6:45pm. Funeral Mass will be in the Saint-Antoine L’ Ermite Church on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 7:00pm, with interment in the parish cemetery. In memory of Elmire donations to the Dr Georges L Dumont Hospital Foundation cancer unit would be appreciated.
