MITTON 1918 ~ 2008 Edna Rita Mitton of Kamloops, BC passed away on February 18, 2008 at 89 years of age. She is survived by her children Wayne (Joanne) Mitton of Kamloops and Connie (Patrick) Yawney of Vernon; grandchildren Jeff (Kasha) Mitton, Steven (Glenda) Mitton, Craig (Jen) Yawney, Glen (Tanis) Yawney, and Dean (Erica) Yawney; great grandchildren Dawson, Claire, Jenna, Owen, Aidan, Avery, and Madeline; brother Earl (Hazel) Williamson of Quesnel, BC and sister Milly (Jim) Frewin of Calgary, Alberta; and many nieces, nephews, and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Fred Mitton (1995) and daughter Sharon Harder (2005). Edna was born in Lethbridge, Alberta on May 24, 1918. She was a Veteran of World War II and during this time she met and married Fred. In 1957 she moved to Vernon, BC where she lived for eight years before coming to reside in Kamloops. Edna enjoyed reading, gardening, and socializing with family and friends. No Formal Ceremony. Special Thanks to the nursing staff on 2 South at Ponderosa Lodge and to Dr. Paul Yanko.
