MURRAY, DOROTHY - With sadness the family announces the passing of Dorothy Elizabeth Murray of the Loch Lomond Villa, who passed away on Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Dr. Everett Chalmers Hospital surrounded by her family. Born 1924 in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Elizabeth (Vincent) Gallop. She is survived by her six children Marilyn (Ernest) Clark, David (Alice) Murray, Brian (Darlene) Murray, Wendy (Roland) Duguay all of Saint John, Maureen (Ken) Collrin of Rothesay, Kevin (Imelda) Murray of Virginia; grandchildren Terry, Richard, Randall (Cheryl), Todd (Toby), Shawn (Karen), Lauren (Raymond), Jason (Sue), Chris (Amanda), Andrew (Sara), Kevin (Megan), Tiffanny (Brendan), Colin (Jennifer), Marc (Lindsey), Melanie (David), Jonathan, Kendra, Sarah, Laura; and fourteen great-grandchildren, along with her special friend Diana Nice; several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents Dorothy was predeceased by her first husband Burtis Brogan, her second husband Vincent Murray, brother Ormond Gallop and sister Gertrude Hagerman. Dorothy was a long standing member of the Senior’s Outreach Program at the Loch Lomond Villa, and was an avid bingo player. Along with her love of spending time with her family, she also enjoyed traveling and listening to her favorite songs sung by Daniel O’Donnell.
Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road Saint John (646-2424) with visitation on Sunday, June 10th from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral service will be held at Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Monday, June 11th, 2012 at 2 p.m. Interment will follow in Ocean View Memorial Gardens.
