Lieu de naissance : Colombie Britannique, Canada

Lieu de décès : Colombie Britannique, Canada

In Loving Memory of Edith "Edie" Georgina Coulter (nee Irwin) March 31, 1921 - February 23, 2008 Much beloved wife, mother and grandmother, Edie passed quietly from this world on February 23, 2008. She went as she wished to, in her sleep. She leaves behind her loving husband of 50 years, Jack, and her children Tim McIntyre (Donna) of Edmonton, Jacquie Ciancone (Brian) of Knutsford, Bob Coulter (Robin) of Kamloops, and her grandchildren Will Ciancone (Buffy) and Andy Ciancone (Sierra) of Kamloops. She was predeceased by her husband Frank McIntyre, her sisters Margie, Belle, Renie and Bette, and her brother Bill. She was born in Saskatoon and grew up during the depression as one of the 'Irwin Girls'. Though money was short there was plenty of love, and the stories she told of that time taught us that love, strength and a sense of humour could get you through anything. She married Frank, had Tim and was widowed early.†Then she met and married Jack, and had Jacquie and Bob. From Edmonton they moved to Kamloops where she spent the rest of her life apart from 8 years on Vancouver Island. The Island years were filled with fun times with her grandsons, until she moved back to Kamloops where most of her family was so she could keep an eye on them! She worked most of her life in†retail ladies wear, and when she retired from Woodwards she celebrated with a Mink Coat! She enjoyed some travels and loved reading and interior decorating. But most of all she loved her family - baking cookies with her†boys and being there with supportive words and unlimited love. We will miss her so. The family would like to thank Dr. Phil Sigalet for all his care and kind words to mom, and his help to the family. Also many thanks to the nurses of 3W and 6S for their care and compassion. They made a hard time easier for all of us. A memorial tea to celebrate Edie's life will be held at 2:00 P.M., Thursday, February 28, 2008 in the Chapel of Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 177 Tranquille Road. The family wishes that any expressions of sympathy take the form of donations to the Royal Inland Hospital Foundation towards Cancer Care at 311 Columbia Street, Kamloops, BC, V2C 2T1. Service arrangements are entrusted to Justin Clark, Personal Alternative Funeral Services, 554-2324
