Jim passed away peacefully at the Hospice in Kamloops surrounded by his family.
He is survived by his wife lrene, 8 children, 17 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his first wife Maude Grant in September of 1963.
Jim served in World War II with the London Irish Rifles. He spent two and a half years as a POW and escaped towards the end of the war. Jim immigrated to Canada in 1956 making his home first in Port Coquitlam and then Kamloops.
Jim was an avid Blazer fan, World War II nostalgist and loved English football. He also loved to spend time at his cabin in Tulameen. Jim is best remembered for his sense of humor and his mischievous ways.
A Memorial Service will be held on Monday, June 11, 2012 at 1:00 pm at the Kamloops Funeral Home, 285 Fortune Drive, Kamloops, B.C.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be sent to the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home.
