MORIN On March 3, 2008 Mrs. Shirley Rose Morin also known as "Boot Nanny" passed away peacefully in the early hours at Royal Inland Hospital at the age of 82. She is survived by her children, Barry Morin of Kamloops, Marilyn Alec of Kamloops, Doug Morin of Alberta, Sister Gladys Morris, Nanton, Alberta, Grandchildren Kristie Dolley (Matt) Kamloops, Michael Brunn, Kamloops, Phillip Morin, Blue River, Great Grandchildren Hayden Dolley, Kamloops, and numerous Nieces & Nephews in Alberta and Saskatchewan, as well as many friends in Kamloops. She is predeceased by Husband Phil Morin, Son Rod Morin, Father John D. Hayden, Mother Ida F. Hayden, Brother J. Homer Hayden, Sister Hazel Smith. Mom's parents John D. Hayden Jr. and Ida F. Eshom were married on June 5, 1907. Together they traveled by covered wagon from Dodge City, Kansas in March, 1908 to Sarycus. Nebraska, then on to Nanton, Alberta where they homesteaded in 1908. There they raised Mom and two sisters and one brother. Mom had many stories of life on the prairies. Her strength and honesty came from her parents. Mom raised her four children during some tough times, but we seldom went without. Mom will return home in the summer of 2008 to a family reunion in Nanton, Alberta where she will be put to rest with her mom and dad. Rest in Peace Mom till we meet again, your loving family.
