EWING 1927 ~ 2008 Shirley Lulu Ewing of Kamloops passed away on March 5, 2008 at 81 years of age. She will always be remembered by her loving children: Linda Herman and Rosa (Dwayne) Voelk; grandchildren Hollie (Garrett) Stinson and Shane (Cindy) Leibel; and great grandchildren Dalon, Taylor, Aaron, John, Cornell, Tian and Tyra. Predeceased by her husband John Ewing and her parents Howard and Lulu Hatch. Shirley was born in Vancouver, BC and raised in Port Alberni. Shirley and John were married in 1957 and over the years they lived in Summit Lake, Prince George, Fort St. John, Fort Nelson, and Prince Rupert. Shirley moved to Kamloops in the mid '70s after the death of John. She was a member of the Rebekah Lodge #23 for 63 years, serving as Noble Grand several times. Shirley had a keen interest in crafts and enjoyed knitting and crocheting. She loved her cats and dogs. She will be missed by her loving family and many dear friends The Memorial Service will take place at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, March 13, 2008 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Mary Widmer officiating. She will be buried in Port Alberni with her husband John and her parents, at a later date.
