(Robert) John Treherne passed away peacefully on December 28, 2009.
Jigger John loved to fish and regularly won the best lure award on his annual fishing trip. He was a talented craftsman, a first-rate friend and a dessert enthusiast.
Born in Central Butte, Saskatchewan on August 12, 1937, John grew up in Moose Jaw. Before he settled in Kamloops in 1965, he worked as a radio operator in Resolute Bay and traveled extensively in Europe.
John served his community well, 19 years as Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club, 18 years running Treherne Construction, an active member of the Kamloops Kiwanis Club and as an active volunteer for many community service organizations.
He will be lovingly remembered by wife Judy and daughters Kerri, Tricia, Debbie and Charlene; grandchildren Delphi, Danika & Luc; sister Patricia Carlson & family; father & mother in-law Vernon & Doreen Dever and numerous friends.

A Celebration of John's life will be held Saturday March 6, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the Cottonwood Community Center.
