WOOD 1924 ~ 2008 Walda Amanda Wood of Kamloops passed away peacefully on March 20, 2008 at the Marjorie Willoughby Snowden Hospice Home with her family by her side. She is survived by Bev (Doug) Kuzmiuk of Kamloops, BC, and Doug (Shelley) Wood of Kamloops, BC; grandchildren Jordan, Nicholas, and Emmarie; her siblings Clara Ertman, Alfred (Mary) Kublik, Doris (Paul) Breitkriutz, Melvin (Pat) Kublik, and Lawrence (Lil) Kublik; and numerous nieces and nephews. Mom was predeceased by her parents Henry and Emma Kublik, brothers Albert Kublik and Edwin Kublik and her brother-in-law Arthur Ertman. Mom was born on December 7, 1924 in New Sarepta, Alberta. She was raised on a farm and left home in 1944 to pick berries in the Fraser Valley, moving to Kamloops in 1948. Mom loved to garden and spent many hours canning. Most of all Mom loved to have family dinners - her cabbage rolls, dill pickles and pies will never be duplicated! The Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel with the Very Reverend Louise Peters officiating. Viewing will take place prior to the service from 1:00-2:00 P.M. in the Rosewood Room at Kamloops Funeral Home.
