SPIRITO It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. Luigi Spirito of Kamloops, BC passed away on Thursday, March 27th, 2008 at the age of 88 years. He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years, Rosa, his two daughters Francesca Crucil and Sandra Spirito; two grandchildren, Dino (Karrie) Crucil and Roselie Crucil, two great grandchildren, Miranda Crucil and Robert Crucil; sister Marieta Madarelo; brother-in-law Jerry (Sistina) DiFonzo and numerous relatives in Canada and Italy. Luigi was predeceased by his parents Onofrio and Luigia Spirito, his brother Pasquale, sisters Anna Pannone and Levira Pannozzo and son-in-law Armando Crucil. Luigi was born October 18, 1919 in Campodimele, Province of Latina, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1952, residing in Walachin, BC. He moved to Kamloops in 1964, residing here until his passing. He worked with the C.P.R. until his retirement in January of 1980. Luigi was a quiet man who loved his family and enjoyed gardening and long walks. The family wishes to thank the 3 North staff at Royal Inland Hospital for the compassionate care and support they provided Luigi and his family. At the request of the family, no flowers please. Should friends desire, donations made to the Alzheimer Society of BC, Box 277, Kamloops, BC, V2C 5K6 in memory of Luigi would be appreciated. Prayers will be recited in Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church at 7:00 P.M. on Tuesday, April 1, 2008. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Church at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, April 2, 2008. Entombment will follow in Sage Valley Mausoleum, Hillside Cemetery, Kamloops.
