JOHN RICHARD HARVEY October 10, 1917 ~ March 25, 2008 Suddenly, on March 25, 2008 in his ninety first year, John Richard Harvey rode on to an early spring in the sunlight of the great round up. Survived by his sweetheart, Win Haskins, also survived by his four daughters, Sheila (Keith) Dodds of Kent, England, Deborah Morrison of Regina, Saskatchewan, Peggy (Dusty) Beach of Salem, Oregon, Ruth-Ann Harvey (Dan Neil) of White Rock (Langley), BC and two sons, Richard Harvey of Kamloops, BC and Dyrk Harvey of Fort St. John, BC and numerous cherished grandchildren, "Papa" to some and "Grandpa" to others, many marvelous great grandchildren and a multitude of nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his wife Laura Harvey, granddaughter Jamie-Lynn Morrison and grandson Isaac August Reiter. No service by request. He wishes you to remember him as he lived, and loves you all, family and friends. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Dad will be remembered for his gentleness, kindness, unconditional love, integrity and amazing strength of heart and soul. Cowboy, soldier, outdoorsman, businessman, his life led him through pathways that many of us only dream of. He found joy and adventure in every step he took. He had child-like curiosity and was always eager to embrace something "new". Dad was rich in family and friends and happily collected new "people".† He "retired" and wondered how he ever had time to work, as he set off to create more "jobs". He lived his life "on purpose" every day. We have very large footprints pointing the way for us to follow, we feel your touch, your breath, see your smile, hear your laugh, and we know that we are truly loved.
