BROWN, RONALD ORLAND - 1944 - 2012 - With sadness and regret, we announce the passing of Ronald Orland Brown who passed away on Sunday, June 17, 2012 at the Moncton Hospital following a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Fredericton, he was the son of the late Robert O. and Blanche K. (Dobson) Brown. Ron was a beloved husband, father, brother, uncle, and friend. He spent the majority of his career with Lounsbury Company Ltd and was an honorable man, leader, friend, volunteer, and mentor, who will be sadly missed. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years, Helen (Dawe), his son, Steven, sister, Margo (Paul), brother, Errol (Rena), and sister in law, Joan. Besides his parents, Ron was predeceased by his twin brother Donald in March of this year. The family would like to thank the staff, doctors, and nurses of the Moncton Hospital, in particular the staff of 3600 Palliative Care Unit, for the constant support and wonderful care Ron received over the past weeks.
By Ron’s request, there will be no visitation taking place. A funeral Service will be held from Cobb’s Funeral Home Memorial Chapel, 330 Whitepine Rd. Riverview, NB (869-2007) on Thursday, June 21, 2012 at 10:30 am with Rev. Brent Ham officiating. The interment will take place in Alderwood Cemetery.
