BOUDREAU, DONAT - 1915 - 2012 - Donat Boudreau, 97, of Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche and formerly of Dixon Point, Bouctouche passed away peacefully at the Manoir on Monday, June 18th, 2012. He was married to Germaine (Maillet) Boudreau. Born in Bouctouche on May 10th, 1915 he was the son of the late Antime and the late Vitaline (LeBlanc) Boudreau. Donat was a carpenter by trade, a fisherman, and worked on bridge construction. He will be sadly missed by his wife Germaine, his nine children; Jeannita Bastarache (Gerard) of Cocagne, Rose-Marie Richard (Francis) of Moncton, Evangeline Gallant (Bernard) of Dieppe, Clara Poirier (Yvon) of Sainte-Marie de Kent, Louise Michaud (Joseph), Emery (Marie), Joseph (Claudette), Raymond (Louise) of Bouctouche, his eighteen grandchildren, twenty eight great grandchildren, and two great great grandchildren. He also leaves several nephews and nieces. Donat was predeceased by one son Paul (2012), four sisters; Evangeline, Octavie, Alice, Léa, and six brothers, Edouard, Alfred, Arthur, Alyre, Félix and Lionel.
Visitations will be held at Maillet Funeral Home, 29 rue de l’église, Bouctouche, on Wednesday, June 20th, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 and on Thursday from 10 to 10:45 am. Funeral Mass will be held at the Saint-Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church, Bouctouche on Thursday, June 21st, 2012 at 11:00 am with interment in the parish cemetery. In Donat’s memory donations can be made to the Manoir Saint-Jean Baptiste, Bouctouche (506-743-7344). Funeral arrangements are in the professional care of Maillet Funeral Home, Bouctouche.
