MACDONALD Nancy Ann Macdonald, born April 17, 1935, originally of Stoneham, Mass., passed away peacefully in The Birches, Musquodoboit Harbour, at 72 years of age, late in the afternoon of April 6, 2008. She was a daughter of the late Ward and Linda Stone (Rockland, Me.). Nancy is survived by her children, Steven (Darlene), Mary-Linda, Nicholas (Jackie) and Melissa (Robert); three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; her sisters, Hazel (Fraser), Mary (St. Clair); numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Ward and Linda Stone, and her siblings, Linda (Eaton), Pauline (Martel), Edgar and Shirley (MacNeil). In the early 1960's Vincent and Nancy moved their young family to British Columbia where they made their home in Kamloops, B.C. Twenty-five years later they returned to their beloved Maritimes and to Antigonish. Nancy was a bright woman who willingly shared with family and friends her great love of music, literature and all the arts. She was a loving mother and a witty charmer whose laughter will be sorely missed. Funeral service will be in St. Ninian's Cathedral, Antigonish, on April 18, 2008 at 10 a.m. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to the staff of The Birches who took such wonderful and kind care of Nancy.
