Passed peacefully away with his family by his side at the Connaigre Peninsula Health Care Centre in Harbour Breton on Monday, June 18, 2012, Mr. William Arthur Strickland, age 90 years, of Harbour Breton. Leaving to mourn his loving family: sons, Chad (Cheryl) and Kelsie, with whom he resided, Clyde (Wanda) at Harbour Breton, Jim (Brenda) at Fortune, Albert (Sharon) at Grand Falls, Perry (Lori), Rick (Susan), Melvin (Lorraine), Brad (Roxanne), all at St. John’s; daughters, Marina (Brendan) at Conne River and Audrey (Wayne) at St. John’s plus a large number of grandchildren, great grandchildren, relatives and friends. Predeceased by wife, Velma, in 2006 and son, Tom, in 2010.
Funeral service was held on Wednesday, June 20, 2012 at 3:00 pm from St. Bartholomew’s Anglican Church in Harbour Breton with Rev. Juanita Freeman officiating. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Harbour Breton.
