DOUCETTE, Raymond “Roughhouse” Jean – of Yarmouth, passed away at home on June 18, 2012 at the age of 70. Born May 18, 1942 in Springhaven, Yarmouth Co., N.S., he was a son of the late John and Rosalie (Melanson) Doucette. Raymond loved his children and was especially fond of spending time with them. People will remember Raymond as the printer at the Yarmouth Regional Hospital. Raymond is survived by loving wife Sharon; daughter, Kim (Andre) Knelle, Argyle, Yarmouth Co.; sons, Sean Doucette, Yarmouth; Jeremme Doucette (Nathalie), Montreal, Quebec; Joey Doucette, Yarmouth; brothers, Rick (Heather) Yarmouth; Wayne, British Columbia; Kenneth(Nau), Bangkok, Thailand; sisters, Marian Saulnier, Pinkney’s Point; Helen Doucette, Yarmouth; Carol (Carson) Purdy, British Columbia; and two granddaughters. Besides his parents Raymond is predeceased by brother, James; and sisters, Mildred in infancy and Elizabeth. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Sweeny’s Funeral Home & Crematorium, Yarmouth. By Raymond’s request there will be no visitation or memorial service. A celebration of life was held Saturday June 23, 2012 at 2 p.m. from the Quinan Hall. Interment will be at a later date.
