Reginald Stephen (Steve) Lott September 15, 1933 - May 8, 2008 Born in Kamloops, Steve lived a good life for 74 years. His work in the forest industry took him to locations around the Southern Interior and Cariboo, but Merritt was the place he called home. He built many roads with his CAT and there was nothing he could not fix. He was a man of many talents, he was gifted with the ability to engineer and build. He was also musically inclined and often got the good times started with a tune on his harmonica followed by a vocal rendition of his favourite Bluegrass songs. Left to cherish his memory three children; Laurie McDonald (Norm), Lila Zelinski (Darel), Lloyd (Linda) Lott; five grandchildren; Amy Stamp (Mike), Stacy Galbraith (Jon), Clancy Newton, Lana Newton, Lucas Lott; and four great grandchildren; Liam and James Stamp and Eva and Noah Galbraith. Also left to cherish his memory his life long friend Tom and best friend Barb. Predeceased by his mother in December, 2000 and father May, 2001, and in childhood by his younger brother and sister. His family would like to extend thanks to Dr. McLeod and the nurses at NVGH for their kindness and loving care; and to the many friends who stopped by to share time and stories with Steve. Join us for a Celebration of Steve's Life on May 21, 2008, 1:00-4:00 P.M. at the Lower Nicola Community Hall, 382 Aberdeen Road, Lower Nicola. In lieu of flowers, donations in Steve's name may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
