Mum and her sibling's were brought up in the British orphanage system. She emigrated to Canada in the early fifties, began working in Vancouver and started corresponding with Roderick McKenzie. In February 1954, Flora became Roderick's loving bride, moving to Prince George and they lived there for a number of years before eventually coming to Kamloops.
