It is with great sadness that the family of the late Robert (Bob) Lloyd Keeping announces his passing on Thursday, June 21 at the age of 59 years at his home in Dartmouth, N.S.
Born in Port-aux-Basques, he was the son of the late Reginald & Violet Keeping. Bob is survived by his loving & dedicated partner Harry Mazerolle & furry friend Vinny, Son Robert, Daughters Tracy & Gina (Dwayne), Special Friends Brenda & Leo. Sisters: Brenda Howie, Glenda Feltham (Dave), Louise Haines, Brother Ted (Betty). In-laws: Norma & Sam Chaulk, Dianne & Larry Peckford, Ruby Beaumont, Joan & Jerome Pearce, Barbara & Nate Anderson, Raymond & Lena LeRiche, Dave & Judy LeRiche, Jerry & Sandra LeRiche, Merrill LeRiche, nephews, nieces, cousins and a wide circle of friends from both Port-aux-Basques & Halifax.
Bob spent 27 years working with Human Resources in both Port-aux-Basques and Dartmouth. During the course of his career, he took great pride in helping people. He valued the many working relationships with colleagues & clients over the years. He also treasured the many special friendships which brought happy times & great memories.
A Memorial Service will be tentatively held on the property on Loch Lomond Road in the Codroy Valley, Bob’s “Special Place” on Saturday, July 7th. at 2:00 p.m. for those wishing to attend. Any donations can be made to the Palliative Care in Port-aux-Basques. He will be greatly missed!!!
