The death occurred peacefully at his home on Friday, January 1, 2010 of Orlande James Trenholm of Summerside, P.E.I., aged 85 years. Orlande was born on March 7, 1924 in Bayfield, N.B., to his late parents Palmer and Pearl (nee Allen) Trenholm. He leaves behind his wife Mary (nee MacKenzie) Trenholm, his son Kenneth, daughter-in-law Elizabeth (Donkin) Trenholm and four grandchildren Alysha, Austin, Alayna and Aaron, all of Summerside. Survived by his brothers and sisters, Powell of Summerside, Daisy Bruce of Charlottetown, Phyllis Jeffery of Ont., Borden of Ont., Everett of Charlottetown, Mary Bruce of Charlottetown and Carol Patterson of N.S. and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Orlande was predeceased by his brothers Kenneth and Lloyd and his sisters Ada Reid, Eva Gallant, Jean Patterson, Caranome Boulier and Lucy Deveaux. There will be no visitation or funeral service by personal request. Friends and family are welcome to come to the home of his son, Kenneth, at 2 Darby Dr., Summerside, to pass heart-warming and comical stories of Orlande on Saturday, January 9, 2010 from 1 - 3 p.m. These stories will become a keepsake for the family.
