Sadly, Lena passed away suddenly at home in Kamloops on 23rd June 2012. She is survived by her loving family 3 daughters, Patricia of California, Gemma (Ron) & Theresa (Ian) of Kamloops and a son Michael of Windsor, Ontario. Nana as she was fondly known to her 13 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren will be sorely missed. A sister, Theresa McVeigh of Scotland and special friend Andrew Clark share in our sorrow.

She was predeceased by loving husband, John McGrandles.

Lena was born in Glasgow, Scotland and lived in Windsor, Ontario from 1969 to 1990. She had a multifaceted career in Scotland which varied from being a Bookkeeper in an office to being a Conductress "On the Buses". In Canada she worked at Windsor Raceway after which she retired to beautiful BC.

Lena's faith was very important to her and her deep spirituality helped through the difficult times. Lena enjoyed her family and travelling to Scotland, Italy, USA, Mexico, Hawaii and cruising. She danced her way through a rewarding and fulfilling life.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Thursday, 5th July at 11:00 a.m. in Sacred Heart Cathedral, 360 Nicola Street.

Should friends desire, donations may be made to the CNIB or the Catholic Womenís League in memory of Mrs. Elizabeth McGrandles.
