It is with great sadness that the family of the late Edith Cavelle Rowsell announce her passing at the Corner Brook Long Term Care Facility on Friday June 29, 2012 at the age of 91 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children: Gary (Nada) of Corner Brook, NL, Wayne (Tara) of Corner Brook, NL, Brenda (Keith) White of Hilden, NS, Cindy (Miles) Grant of Ottawa, ON, grandchildren Vivian, Julie, Jay, Marc, Matthew, Robin, Emma, Gavin, Michael, 9 great-grandchildren, sister Vivian Little of Corner Brook, NL, sister- in-law Thelma Roberts, brothers-in-law: Paul Chipman, Bon (Mary) Rowsell, Al Evans, also a large circle of relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Arthur, sisters: Mae, Francis, Rosie, Hattie, Olive, Bertha, brothers: Samuel, Jack, Woodrow, sisters-in-law: Mary Evans, Ruth (Lee) Gale, brothers-in-law: Reginald (Ruby), Baxter (Dolly), Bill (Lydia), Joseph (Eva), and Gilbert (Doris). Visitation will take place at Country Haven Funeral Home 167 Country Road on Monday, July 2, 2012 from the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place from Country Haven Funeral Home Chapel on Tuesday, July 3, 2012 at 2 p.m. with Marilyn Avery officiating. Interment to follow at Mount Patricia Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. During World War II Edith worked with the War Department in an ammunition factory in Montreal.
