Passed peacefully away on December 31, 2009 at the St. Clare’s Mercy Hospital in her 92nd year. Predeceased by sisters Jean and Olive; brothers Harold, Jack, William and James. Leaving to mourn are many nieces and nephews. The family wish to extend a special thank-you to the doctors and nursing staff of 7 East at St. Clare’s Hospital for their dedication and caring. Frances was a lifelong resident of St. John’s, residing in C.B.S. for the last five years. A graduate of Spencer Collegiate, she was employed by Ayres, Bowrings and finished her career at her brother’s electrical contracting business “Harold Snow & Sons.” She loved sports and excelled in field hockey and bowling; and was inducted into the Newfoundland 5 Pin Bowlers Association Hall of Fame June 9, 1984. A caring individual, she will be greatly missed by family and friends. At Frances’ request cremation has taken place. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, January 7th, 2010 at 2 p.m. from the Anglican Cathedral. Interment to follow in the Anglican Cemetery, Forest Road.
