The death of Joan Turner, age 73, of Nappan, occurred on Wednesday, December 30, 2009 at home.
Born in Nappan, she was a daughter of the late Hibbert and Maude (Grant) Lawrence.
During her working years, she was employed at various locations in Ontario and Massachusetts as a secretary. She enjoyed card games and volunteered for the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
Joan will be sadly missed by her husband, Ken; sons, Barry and Tim, both at home. She was predeceased by brothers, Hibbert and Percy (both in 2009) and Amos, and sisters, Marjorie and Ruth.
Joan's remains have been cremated under the care of the Furlong Jones Funeral Home, (667-8777). A graveside service will be held in the spring. In lieu of flowers donations to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of the donor's choice gratefully appreciated. www.furlongjones.ca
