Elsie Irene MacPhail of Riverview and formerly of Pictou, NS passed away peacefully Thursday June 28, 2012 at The Moncton Hospital. Born in Pictou, NS, she was the daughter of the late James and Lillian (Moore) Hansford. She was a member of the Rebecca Lodge # 4- Pictou, NS., a member of St. James Anglican Church, Pictou, as well as the Ladies Auxiliary and Lockbroom Community Club.

She is survived and will be sadly missed by her daughter Irene Fowler Sharpe (Keith) with who she resided, daughter in law, Irma MacPhail of Pictou, grandchildren, Kim Sears, Donna Wells, both of Riverview, Sean Peppard of Fredericton, Edward MacPhail of Manitoba, Eileen Turple, Rockey MacPhail, both of Scotchill NS, Dale MacPhail of Pictou, Jimmy MacPhail of Truro, Robert MacPhail,of River John, NS., Roger MacPhail of Scotchill NS, as well as several nieces and nephews, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

Besides her parents she was predeceased by her husband, John L. MacPhail,
son, George, grandson, Watson, brothers; Frank and Melville, sisters; Kathleen McCarville and Lillian Clarke.

The family will be receiving relatives and friends at Cobb’s Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 330 Whitepine Road, Riverview, NB (869-2007) on Tuesday July 3 from 6 -8 PM, the funeral service will be held from McLaren Funeral Home, 246 Faulkland Ave. Pictou, NS (485-4361) on Thursday July 5 at 2 PM, with Rev. Aiden Kingsbury officiating, with the interment to take place in Seaview Cemetery. Donations to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated by the family.
