PILKINGTON On Wednesday, May 29, 2008 we did lose one beautiful family member who was born to Al and Minnie Peterson of Louis Creek - Betty Rose Pilkington. Betty went to be with her Lord by way of the fine people of Ponderosa Lodge where Betty spent her last few months. Betty was born in Vancouver on October 16, 1916. She leaves behind to grieve husband Rod of Barriere and her only son Gary (Trapper) Stephenson of G & M Trailer Park in Kamloops; several grandchildren Shelley Egan and her daughter Alia of Fredericton, N.B., Stacey and Tracey of Vancouver and Jay Kinloch of Merritt. Betty was an ardent outdoors person with the fishing rod and also the long barrel rifles. Her favourite fishing hole over the last years was Janice Lake. She took great pride in her cooking for the Forest Service in Barriere. A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, June 6, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. in the Schoening Funeral Chapel, 513 Seymour Street.
