It is with regret that we announce the passing of Earl Ferguson, on Tuesday, July 3, 2012, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney, with his son Tracy and nephew Greg by his side.
Born in Florence, he was the son of the late Lemuel and Euphemia (King) Ferguson.
Earl was employed as a truck driver for 34 years for Coke until his retirement. He enjoyed telling jokes and stories, going to the boardwalk. He had a great passion for golfing, Earl was a member of the Seaview Golf Club.
He is survived by his son, Tracy Ferguson (Gloria Lundrigan); three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; his sister, Elma May (Corneilus ‘Con’) Cantwell, Bras d’Or as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his loving wife, Avril ((Tracey) Ferguson, sister, Thelma MacDonald, brothers, Jr. and Ronald.
