She married Wilfred Donald Whitehouse in 1952 in Prince Rupert, where they raised their four children, moving to Kamloops in 1971. The list of Delphine's talents and accomplishments are long - she was a great sewer, knitter, pie maker, flower and vegetable gardener, badminton player, bridge and all-round fantastic card player. In her youth she swam, hiked, skied, fished and camped. She could light a campfire, row a boat and roast a perfect hotdog. She loved the outdoors, games and playing cards. She was kind, generous and loved to laugh. She loved her family and her family knew she was the greatest mother and grandmother that ever lived. We will always miss you. A Mass for the Soul of Delphine will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 16, 2008 in the Sacred Heart Cathedral, 255 Nicola St., Kamloops with Reverend Father Tony Ackerman, Celebrant.
