Lily Belle Wilms Lily Belle Wilms of Kamloops passed away on June 26, 2008 at 74 years of age. She will be always remembered by her loving children Marty (Laurel) Wilms of Kamloops, Earl (Elana) Wilms of Kamloops, Fred (Karen) Wilms of Edmonton, Lynn (Jim) Shannik of Vancouver, and Bonnie (Fernando) Teixeira of Calgary; and her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was predeceased by her husband John and by her granddaughters Alison and Jodie. Lily was born in Mapes, BC, eventually moving to Kamloops and working at the Tranquille Sanatorium. It was there that she met and married John. Together they raised five children. Mom had a zest for life, her favourite hobby was playing Bingo and going to casinos. She was actively involved with the Women of the Moose Lodge for many years. Lily loved her grandchildren dearly. Forever In Our Hearts Legacy of Love A wife, a mother, a grandma too, This is the legacy we have from you. You taught us love and how to fight, You gave us strength, you gave us might. A stronger person would be hard to find, And in your heart, you were always kind. You fought for us all in one way or another, Not just as a wife not just as a mother. For all of us you gave your best, Now the time has come for you to rest. So go in peace, you've earned your sleep, Your love in our hearts, we'll eternally keep. A Celebration of Life will take place from 1:00-3:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 5, 2008 in the Shores Retirement Residence, 870 Westminster Avenue.
