Passed peacefully away at the Burin Peninsula Health Care Centre, Burin, NL, on Saturday, July 07th, 2012, GERTRUDE HOOPER of Rock Harbour, NL, in her 87th year. Leaving to mourn her loving daughters Marion Brushett (Joe), Jacques Fountaine, Sylvia Scott, Marystown; grandchildren Lori and Renée, great grand children Damion and Samantha; sister Mary Eliza Withers, Creston South; and a large circle of relatives and friends.

Gertrude is predeceased by her husband Joseph, son in law John Scott, sisters Annie, Beatrice, Florence, and Elizabeth, and brothers Nicholas, John James, and John.

Rev. Gloria Wendover conducted the funeral service at St. Peter’s Anglican Church, Rock Harbour on Tuesday, July 10th, 2012 at 2:00 PM. Interment followed at the Anglican Cemetery in Rock Harbour.
