It is with sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of Mary Catherine ‘Kay’ McDonald on Monday, July 9, 2012, at the Glace Bay Hospital.
Born in Glace Bay, she was the daughter of the late Neil and Gertrude (Delhanty) McNeil.
She is survived by her children, George (Marie), Joan, Diane, Dan (Isabell) Anita and Barb (Doug); brother, Kevin (Babe); sister, Frankie (Johnny); 14 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, George; siblings, Gerald, James and Marie.
Visitation will be today (Wednesday, July 11) from 7-9 p.m. at Curry’s Funeral Home, 775 Main St., Glace Bay. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 12 at 11 a.m. in St. John’s Church, New Aberdeen. The Rev. Leo Boone will be officiating. Interment will be in the parish cemetery.
