On July 3 2012, Mrs Agnes J. Hampel passed away peacefully at Royal Inland Hospital, Kamloops at the age of 90 years. She was born February 25, 1922 in Marcelin, Saskatchewan.

She is survived by her 3 children: Harold (Lynn) Hampel, Betty (Bob) MacGowan and John (Stephanie) Hampel, her nine grandchildren Hailey and Mason Hampel, Derek (Heidi), Jared, Kyle & Kerri MacGowan, Lucas, Alex & Izaac Hampel, and great grandson Kaden Karl MacGowan. Also left to cherish her memory are her brothers Tony (Merlene) Wolters and Lawrence (Ellie) Wolters, her sisters Loretta Clothier, Marie Clothier, Lucille Wolters and Yvonne (Andy) Gosselin and many cousins, nephews and nieces.

Predeceased by husband of 50 years, Karlheinz F Hampel, parents Joseph I. Wolters and Valerie M. Poilier, sisters Angeline Walsh and Irene Burke.

Agnes Wolters was born on the family farm in Marcelin, she was proud to be a stubble jumper. At 18 years she completed Normal School and became a teacher. In Prince George, B.C., she met and married her husband of 50 years Karl H. Hampel. Agnes was an active lifetime member of the CWL and a long standing member of the Kamloops Golf and Country Club. She devoted her life to God, her family, friends and the community.

Agnes worked, travelled and enjoyed life to its fullest until the Lord, called her home in her 90th year.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Cathedral with Father Vincent Asomugha celebrant. Reception to follow in the Parish Hall.
