The death occurred peacefully at his late residence on Tuesday, January 5, 2010, of Gerald (Bud) Franklin O’Brien of Summerside and formerly of Abrams Village, P.E.I., age 66 years.
Bud was born on March 2, 1943, in O’Leary, P.E.I., to his late parents Gerald and Olive (nee Arsenault) O’Brien.
Beloved husband of Theresa (nee Gallant) O’Brien and loving father of Debbie O’Brien (Pete) of Summerside, Michael (Cheryl) of Kingston, Karen (Gerard) MacNeill of Miscouche and Kevin (Dawn) of Miscouche. Also lovingly remembered by his stepchildren, Shelley Waite and Tracey Livingstone of Calgary, Alta., and Cynthia Livingstone of Montreal, Que.; along with his grandchildren, Tristan, Brianna, Olivia, Jackson and Ben.
Resting at the East Prince Funeral Home, 245 Pope Road, Summerside, until Friday, January 8, then to St. John the Baptist Church, Miscouche, for funeral mass at 10:30 a.m. Interment to take place in St. Anthony’s Church Cemetery, Bloomfield, at a later date.
Visiting hours on Thursday, 2-4 and 7-9 p.m.
Memorial donations in Bud’s memory to the Canadian Diabetes Association would be greatly appreciated.
