Peacefully at the Maplewood Manor, Alberton, on Saturday, July 14, 2012, of Rita Mary Arsenault, beloved wife of the late Elmer Arsenault formerly of Tignish, age 87 years. Born at Tignish, on Sept. 2, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Emmanuel and Agnes (nee Doucette) Doucette. She is survived by a daughter Cauline (Allen) Chard of Mild May, Ont., and grandchildren Amanda (Joe) Grback of Innisfil, Ont.; Kym (Terry) Flynn of Orangeville, Ont.; Rudy Leban of Cambridge, Ont. Great-grandmother to Mia Theberge, Jesse Theberge, Olivia Grback, Lilianna Grback, Stephan Leban. She is also survived by three brothers and by two sisters, Melvin (Rosetta) of Tignish; Frances (Marie) of Summerside; Gerrard (Shirley) of Toronto; Aurella Price of Summerside; Judy (Roy) LeClair of Tignish. She will be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, Henry, Walter and Oville. Resting at the Rooney Funeral Home, Alberton. Visiting hours Monday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and on Tuesday from 1 p.m. until time of funeral. Funeral on Tuesday afternoon from St. Simon and St. Jude Church, Tignish, for funeral mass at 3 p.m., Rev. Brendon Gallant, celebrant. Interment in the church cemetery. As an expression of sympathy memorials to St. Simon and St. Jude Building Fund or to the cemetery fund would be gratefully appreciated.
