PATRICIA PEARL SCHMID 1929 ~ 2008 Patricia Pearl Schmid of Chase, B.C. passed away on June 26, 2008 at the age of 78 years. She is survived by her loving husband of 22 years - Peter; children Monica Swintz (Bill) of Kamloops, Paul Deller of Chase, Andy Delmer of Mill Bay and Susi Aitken of Prince George; grandchildren Jodi (Scott), Shaun, Ron, Mitchell, Amanda, Dawn, Josh (Nikki), Logan, Tarah, Aaron, Tristan and Alyssa; great grandchildren Travis, Piper, Abigail, Treavor, Dustin, and Ryan; brother John Paget of England; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Peter, sisters Joan and Rosemary, and grandchild Rorie. Pat loved square dancing and caring for the elderly. In her younger days a trout fishing trip made her day. She liked to travel and saw many places including Russia, Morocco Ghana and Hawaii. Her favorite sport to watch was figure skating and she spent many hours crocheting and collecting many items for containers for developing countries. She was a valued and highly esteemed volunteer, and contributor, giving countless hours to Bridge of Hope Ministeries International, helping the orphans that she called "her children". One of Pat's great joys and sources of comfort were her two dogs, Sophie and Zoey. She will be sadly missed by her family and friends. The Celebration of Life Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2008 in the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Andrew Picklyk officiating. Flowers gratefully accepted.
