Fraser 1922 ~ 2008 James Lovat Fraser of Kamloops passed away on July 10, 2008 at 85 years of age. Survived by his loving wife Gloria Marie, children Kathleen (Keith) Westerlund of Surrey, BC, James of Maple Ridge, BC, Lorna (Rick) Stevens of Kamloops, grandchildren, Sharla, Leslie Stevens, Tanya, Trevor Westerlund. His sister Margaret (Stan) Engstrom, and numerous nieces and nephews. James is predeceased by his father Alexander mother Kathleen Fraser/Taylor, sisters Dorothy (five years old) Myrtle (Len) Morgan, Kathleen (Bill) Sevcik, and his infant son Donald James Fraser. James was born in Vancouver October 12, 1922 served in WWII from 1939 to 1942 after that he met and married his childhood sweetheart on October 31,1947. He had numerous jobs through the lower mainland and settled for 27 years with the Burnaby Municipality. The pride and joy in James' life were his four grandchildren and loved gardening and his music. Special thanks to the staff at the Royal Inland Hospital on 3 West and the group hug from Dr. Stabler. A Service of Remembrance will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at the Kamloops Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor Andrew Picklyk officiating.
