Caldwell, Mabel Kathleen, age 87, of Ellershouse, Hants County, passed away Thursday, July 12, 2012 in the Dykeland Lodge, Windsor. Born on November 16, 1924, in Three Mile Plains, Hants County, she was a daughter of the late Frederick and Pearl (Caldwell) Lowthers. Mabel was a member of St. Thomas Anglican Church, Three Mile Plains. Mabel was an avid blueberry picker, she enjoyed knitting and yard sales. Mabel’s family was very important to her and she enjoyed spending time with them, especially her grandchildren. Surviving are sons, Eugene Lowthers (Lillian Goyan), Sackville; Danny (Ginny), Ellershouse; Garnet (Linda), Windsor; grandchildren, Heidi, Gordon, Fraser, Evan, Hannah Caldwell and Helen Goyan; sister, Ruby Wile, Windsor; special sister-in-law, Helen Riley; several nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her husband, Lawrence (1998); infant daughters, Judy and Joan; sisters, Ruth, Julia and Grace; brothers, Sidney, Samuel, John; Reid and Frank in infancy. Visitation was held 7-9 p.m. Sunday, July 15, 2012 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home, 194 King Street, Windsor. Funeral service was held 10 a.m. Monday, July 16, 2012 in Lindsay’s Windsor Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Debra Mosher officiated. Interment was in the Ste. Croix Cemetery, St. Croix.
