The death occurred peacefully with family by her side at the Prince County Hospital on Sunday, July 15, 2012, of Lorraine "Babe" Buchanan, of Mayfield and formerly of Emerald, age 70.
Lorraine was the beloved mother of John Richard (Angela) and Nazaire Richard (Nancy); and grandmother of Bobbie, Billy and Jackie; and Jesse. She is also survived by brothers and sisters, Marion Carragher, Irene Hickox, Ralph Hickox (Simone), Pat Hickox (June), Harold Hickox, Anna MacKay (Billy), Dorothy Mayhew, Carol Osborne (David), Kevin Hickox (Joanne), Linda MacKinnon (Allan), Cindy Ross (Gary), Albert Hickox (Heather) and Nancy MacQuarrie (Gerald); and numerous nieces and nephews.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents, George and Muriel (Somers) Hickox; her son, Ronald Joseph Richard; grandson, Ronald Paul Richard; sisters, Lena Naponise (Robert) and Beulah Robinson (Garth); brothers-in-law, Owen Carragher and Brian Mayhew; and sister-in-law, Donna Hickox.
Resting at Central Queen's Funeral Home, 2538 Glasgow Road, New Glasgow, for visitation on Tuesday, July 17, 2012, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held at Central Queen's Funeral Home Chapel on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Interment in Fredericton Community Cemetery.
